Andrews Property Services (APS) Ltd is firmly committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors and other visitors to our sites.
It is our policy to take all reasonably practicable steps to comply with the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, all relevant Regulations, Codes of Practices and Best Practice Guidelines which apply to our business.
HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK ACT 2015:
Under the new Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA), APS has a primary duty of care to ensure the safety of our team and anyone affected by our work. We must accurately assess the level of risk by comparing the potential severity of harm against the likelihood of occurrence. We must then undertake what is “reasonably practical” to eliminate or minimise the risk of that incident occurring. We achieve these HSWA responsibilities by completing a Safe Work Method Statement/Site Specific Safety Plan for each project.
APS has continued to achieve Tertiary Level in the ACC Workplace Safety Management Programme (WSMP), has been awarded a 4-Star by PREQUAL, has achieved Sitewise Green Status with Site Safe and is approved and registered on the local authority contractor pre-qualification database. We are also active members of the Industrial Rope Access Association of NZ (IRAANZ) and Site Safe NZ.
All our Salesmen, Project Managers and Leading Hands are Site Safe Gold Passports holders and all our wage/contractors are Commercial Passports holders. Selected members of our team are also qualified in:

Our H&S policy is renewed every 12 months.
The performance of managers at all levels within APS is reviewed against the performance of their responsibilities towards the development and implementation of this H&S policy.
