Burger King Repaint - Lower Hutt Repaint

This project involved the preparation and repainting of painted surfaces within a fully operational site, including the drive‑thru area. All works were carefully planned and executed to minimise disruption to daily operations, with key activities scheduled during the early hours of the morning.

Prior to commencement and throughout the project, comprehensive safety and coordination measures were implemented. A task‑specific Safe Work Method Statement and Site‑Specific Safety Plan were developed, and the programme of works was clearly communicated with the nominated client contact to ensure effective coordination. Exclusion zones were established around active work areas, and suitable access equipment, including lifts or scaffolding where required, was arranged to enable the safe execution of works.

The project was delivered in accordance with industry best practices. All painted surfaces were pressure washed to remove dirt, contaminants, and loose material, excluding any blade finishing of windows. Prefinished surfaces, fixtures, and flooring were appropriately masked and protected, and all painted areas were thoroughly prepared prior to coating. Spot priming was undertaken where necessary, followed by the application of two finishing coats. Work areas were cleaned thoroughly upon completion of each stage to maintain a safe and tidy site.

The project was completed within a two‑week timeframe, subject to weather conditions. All cleaning, preparation, and painting works within the drive‑thru area were undertaken during early morning hours, ensuring that site operations, customer access, and trading hours remained uninterrupted. Clear and ongoing communication was maintained with all stakeholders throughout the project, with careful scheduling to ensure safe separation between operational areas and the workforce.
