As one of Auckland’s most elevated residential locations, the Kingsview residents have long enjoyed spectacular views.

But with great heights came great exposure to the elements. Time spent across the 15 levels of northwest-facing balconies was often limited to only a few calm, ‘weatherless’ days each year. To overcome this and maximise their incredible position, the body corporate committee made the bold decision to convert these spaces into glass-sheltered conservatories—now enjoyed comfortably 365 days a year.

“It has completely converted our home,” says Rosie Stubbs, a resident on the 14th floor. “We expected it would be good, but we have never been able to properly appreciate our view until now—it is truly breathtaking!”

This stunning transformation has been completed to a high standard, and the residents at Kingsview Apartments have become like family to the APS team—who still enjoy popping by for a cuppa and taking in the view.

Beyond the balcony conversion, APS has proudly maintained the building over the years, delivering ongoing annual washdowns and regular painting maintenance to preserve both its appearance and performance in a demanding coastal environment.
