A clean, modern finish was delivered through a comprehensive flat‑roof waterproofing upgrade to a central‑city heritage building. The project utilised a high‑performance TPO membrane system designed to enhance durability, improve weather resistance, and ensure long‑term protection while maintaining the structure’s architectural integrity.
APS Waterproofing Division is proud to have completed a major waterproofing upgrade at the historic Old Custom House, marking our largest Fleecback TPO membrane installation to date.
This heritage building received a full roof overlay using a high‑performance Fleecback TPO system, requiring detailed workmanship and careful execution to ensure long‑term watertight integrity. The project demanded precision detailing and adaptability, particularly while navigating Auckland’s ever‑changing weather conditions.
The Fleecback TPO system was selected for its excellent adhesion, flexibility, and durability, offering enhanced puncture resistance, UV and chemical protection, and reduced rooftop noise. These benefits contribute to extending the life of the roof while lowering future maintenance requirements—an ideal solution for a significant heritage structure.
