Creating effective roof drainage through new falls and membrane replacement

The existing failed membrane system and screed were removed to allow for the formation of new roof falls and improved drainage performance. A new two-layer Hitchins membrane system was then installed, providing a renewed waterproofing solution across the roof area.

Removal and replacement of failed membrane roofing systems.

Following the failure of an existing overlay system, this project required the complete removal of both the overlay and original membrane system. Significant substrate and structural repairs were undertaken before a new two-layer De Boer torch-on membrane was installed, providing a durable long-term waterproofing solution.

Auckland Town Hall

Reconstructed membrane roofing designed to improve drainage and reduce ponding.

Extensive reconstruction of membrane roofing, including re‑profiling to improve falls and drainage efficiency. New outlets were installed, followed by a high-performance two-layer De Boer membrane system. Works enhanced waterproofing reliability, reduced ponding risk, and extended the roof’s long-term performance and durability.
